President and Managing Trustee

Dear friends,

It gives me immense pleasure to address you through this august medium.

The Shree Narayana Cultural Mission, Ahmedabad is a success story which was made possible by the commitment, perseverance, farsight and sacrifices of a large number of people who were associated with this Mission over the years.

From the humble beginning which dates back to 1975, the Mission has now grown in size and stature. All through these years, we have kept close to our heart Gurudevan’s saintly advice - `The School is the noblest place of worship’. Therefore, education is our constant focus. On date the Trust is managing four educational institutions including one College, with a combined student strength of over 6500. Academic excellence, character building and grooming of students for their future role as contributing members of the society are accorded highest priority in our institutions.

With the passage of time our social and spiritual commitment to the Society has become stronger. `Theerthadanam’ – a socio spiritual event is organized in January every year. Apart from the festive celebrations, this is an occasion to reaffirm our commitment to Gurudevan’s philosophy of universal brotherhood. Another yearly event `Marriage Alliance Meet’ is fast becoming a popular forum where the youngsters are encouraged to find out their life partners with the full involvement of their parents. We hope to organize more and more socially beneficial events in the days to come.

We look forward to the day when the Mission grows into a vibrant social catalyst and lives upto Gurudevan’s dream of `Enlightenment through Education’. Our future plans include acquisition of new campuses and setting up of more institutions fully keeping in mind the need of the times. As you go through this site, you will get a clearer picture of the Mission’s goals and achievements so far.

We are exploring the possibilities of widening our horizon by taking up more socially relevant projects and networking with other organizations who share our vision. Our recent joining of the Universal Confederation of Sree Narayana Guru Organizations (SNGC) is a bold step in this direction. This will certainly open up more avenues of collaboration and forward looking growth plans at improving the social fabric based on Sree Narayana Guru’s ideals.  We are certain that with concerted efforts from all member organizations (more than 50 organisations), SNGC will grow and next generation will remember us for passing on to them a healthy, vibrant and well networked organization.

I take this opportunity to thank all those well wishers who facilitated our growth. We request your continued co-operation and patronage. Your suggestions for growth and improvement are always welcome.

I dedicate this website to the ideals of Gurudevan whose vision of an enlightened society inspires all of us.
